[1] (8) The External World and the System of the Real Universe.
What does never rely upon anything might be this World.
And the Real Universe might be manifested.
Not being supported by anything at all, might be the situations of the Universe,
And so how is it necessary for us to rely upon anything further at all?

Dear Mr. Mark Foote,
Even hough you have sent your comments to my Dogen Sangha Blog, but I do not find anything about Buddhism in your comments, and so I do not show it in my blog.
Dear Ven. Gudo Nishijima,
Thank you for the explanation. I understand now why you didn't post my remark the first time I sent it.
You are certainly not alone in not finding anything about Buddhism in my comments, others have said the same thing when I tried to comment elsewhere.
The difficulty as I see it is in the presentation of phenomena like PNS and SNS in a way that others can understand what is referred to and how the phenomena comes into play in zazen. I have learned to sit the lotus, which I could not do for thirty years, partly through understanding the mechanics of the posture, and partly through the experience itself. It has taken me a long time to see that all this is just ordinary, yet I still hope to find the words to convey what goes on in the experience of zazen to others. Why anyone would want to practice zazen, I assume would have to do with the experience of suffering; in this regard, I hope that in addressing how the action of zazen takes place, I am speaking about Buddhism.
yours truly,
Mark Foote
