Dear Nishijima,
Is this to say that self regulation is possible just by the virtue of the universe's existence?
If this is true, could it also be said that the very pusuit of truth is impossible if there was no truth at all?

The Self-Regulation can be possible, when our Autonomic Nervous System is balanced. Therefore in other words, when our strength of SNS and our strength of PNS are equal, we can have the balanced ANS.
And so it is necessary for us to make our ANS balanced by our Action. Therefore we practice Zazen everyday. Then we can follow the Rule of the Universe.
The self regulation can never be possible without Human Action.
In that situation the self-regulation can be identified with the motion of the Universe.
Of course it is true that the self-regulation is possible just by the virtue of the Universe.
Of course it is true that if there were no Truth, it might be perfectly impossible for us to puisue the Truth at all.
